Privacy notice

Morne Visser, a sole proprietor trading as Prep Your Meals, is the responsible party for personal information processed through the service. Privacy enquiries may be sent to support@prepyourmeals.co.za.

• Account information such as email address, user identifier and authentication records.
• Membership and transaction information such as payment reference, amount, currency and payment status.
• Planner inputs such as age, sex, height, weight, goals, activity, food preferences, allergies, pantry selections and check-ins.
• Technical and security information necessary to operate and protect the service.
• Messages you send to support.

Household details, preferences, weight check-ins and planner settings are stored in your browser’s local storage under your signed-in account. Meal plans that you deliberately save to Plan History are also stored securely with Supabase so that you can retrieve them when signed in on another device. Row-level access controls restrict each member to their own saved history.

Grocery photos are previewed temporarily in your browser and are not uploaded or retained by Prep Your Meals in the current version. Clearing browser data may remove locally stored preferences, but plans already saved to cloud history can be retrieved again after sign-in.

Information is shared only where necessary with service providers supporting the website, including Supabase for authentication and membership records, Paystack for payment processing, WebSpaceBar for website hosting, and the configured email provider for account messages. These providers process information under their own security and privacy terms.

Full payment-card details are handled by Paystack and are not stored by Prep Your Meals.

Some technology providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Reasonable steps are taken to use reputable providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and service.

Account and membership records are kept while your access remains active. Transaction and support records are kept for the period reasonably required for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal retention requirements.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal information, object to certain processing, or raise a complaint by emailing support. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate dispute and security purposes.

You may also complain to the South African Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security. The service is intended for adults aged 18 or older and is not intentionally offered to children.
